MANDHU COLLEGE Invitation for Applications: ACADEMIC TEACHING POSITIONS POSITIONS: TUTOR • LECTURER AREAS OF SPECIALISATION Business · Information Technology · Education, including cross-disciplinary fields and related sub-disciplines DUTY STATION Sri Lanka, with regular commuting to Colombo APPOINTMENT Contractual, with a three-month probationary period and the possibility of extension CLOSING DATE Open until filled ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Mandhu College invites applications from qualified and experienced academics for contractual teaching positions based in Sri Lanka. Teaching at the College follows no conventional classroom method: all instruction is delivered through technology-mediated modes, including live online sessions and video-recorded lectures. Applicants should be committed to student-centred pedagogy and comfortable teaching entirely in a digital environment. PERSON SPECIFICATION * Tutor: Bachelor's degree in a cognate discipline from a recognised institution, with teaching experience at tertiary level or equivalent. * Lecturer: Master's degree in a cognate discipline from a recognised institution, teaching experience at tertiary level, and an established record of publication in Scopus-indexed journals. * All applicants: Full professional fluency in written and spoken English; confident use of online teaching and lecture-recording tools; and willingness to commute to Colombo in line with the teaching schedule. PRINCIPAL DUTIES * Design, develop, and review teaching and learning materials in line with programme learning outcomes and quality assurance requirements. * Deliver online lectures and tutorials for assigned modules using learner-centred instructional strategies. * Produce video-recorded lectures and supporting digital learning resources. Set and mark assessments, and provide students with timely feedback. * Take part in pedagogical training, peer observation, and institutional quality enhancement activity. * Lecturer appointments only: maintain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publication and conference presentation.
