College of Quantity Surveying (IQSSL)

විෂයයන් පාඨමාලා සහ අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම්

The College of Quantity Surveying is the only Educational Institute in Sri Lanka dedicated for Quantity Surveying education established under the Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka (IQSSL). The Institute has been established under an Act of Parliament – Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka (Incorporation) Act, No. 20 of 2007. The College has already developed several courses of study for the benefit of those who wish to pursue higher education and practice in Quantity Surveying. With the objective of reaching a wider area of coverage the entire program is conducted in English Language. The College conducts a well structured series of lectures for their students in two semesters per year - the first being from February to June and the second from July to November. In addition to these classroom lectures, the College organizes induction programs, refresher courses, CPDs, seminars, study groups and group discussions etc. with a view to update and facilitate the students to get a better exposure in the field of practicing Quantity Surveying. ‘The Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying’ offered by the College of Quantity Surveying has been designed especially for the benefit of school leavers who wish to join Quantity Surveying profession as beginners. The Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying course leads the students to complete the professional level education in three consecutive courses viz. Levels I, II, and III and reach the professional group in five years after completing them successfully. The first light of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka, dawned during the seminar on Surveying and Land Economy held at the BMICH, Colombo, Sri Lanka, in October 1974, organized by the Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE).This three day Seminar approved a resolution moved by Mr. James Nisbet FRICS, which stated Bearing in mind the importance of the construction industry to the social and economic development of Sri Lanka, the Seminar urges the Quantity Surveying practitioners to ensure without delay the provision of proper education and training facilities for Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveying technicians at the universities and technical institutions.

ආයතනය ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ වසර ගණන: අවුරුදු 7 සිට 10 දක්වා

පවත්වනු ලබන පන්ති වර්ග:

  • මධ්‍යම ප්‍රමාණයේ කණ්ඩායම් පන්ති (සිසුන් 10 සිට 20 දක්වා)
  • විශාල ප්‍රමාණයේ කණ්ඩායම් පන්ති (සිසුන් 20 ට වැඩි)
