I believe you need to follow below steps to setup a Montessori. Step 1 : To establish a Montessori, first you need to obtain a recognized diploma related to child-care / early childhood development Step 2 : Register your Montessori. To do this, you need to go to the relevant local authority. (e.g. District secretariat / Divisional secretariat etc). Tell them that you need to register a Montessori. They will explain what you need to do, which facilities should be there for children etc etc. I believe you will also have to inform the Education ministry about this. For more info, please contact your local authority. Step 3 : Based on the guidelines obtained from your local authority, setup the Montessori. After setting up the Montessori, the local authority will come and inspect the premises to see whether there are sufficient facilities for children and everything is in order. After the inspection, they will give you permission. (Of-course if they are satisfied with your setup)
