I teach ICT, covering everything from programming logic and computer systems to databases, web technologies, and networking — aligned with the O/Level ICT syllabus. I hold a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, giving me a strong practical and theoretical foundation across the subject. My approach connects syllabus content to how these concepts actually work in the real world, helping students see the relevance of what theyre learning rather than treating it as abstract theory to memorize for an exam. Alongside my degree, I co-authored a research paper accepted at MERCon 2026 (Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference), and have participated in multiple hackathons, applying my technical skills under real, time-constrained problem-solving conditions. This means I do not just teach ICT theory — I can connect it to how these concepts are actually used in real software and systems, which helps students understand why theyre learning what theyre learning, not just how to answer exam questions. Ive also mentored junior university students, guiding them through difficult technical coursework and helping them build confidence in subjects they initially found intimidating. This experience taught me how to break down dense, technical material into clear, manageable steps for learners at different levels. I tailor my teaching pace and style to each student individually, whether the goal is exam preparation, building strong fundamentals from scratch, or working through a specific topic theyre stuck on. I am patient, structured, and genuinely invested in helping students actually understand ICT — not just memorize it.
